We design and deliver specialized psychedelic-assisted therapy programs tailored to first responders, grounded in safety, ethics,evidence, and collaboration. We work with employers, unions, regulators,insurers, clinicians, first responders, peer groups, and families to provide treatment, develop programming, secure funding, and modernize policy.

You may be eligible if:
You have a diagnosis of Treatment-Resistant Depression (inadequate response to at least one antidepressant trial at an adequate dose and duration).
You are willing to apply for access through Health Canada’s Special Access Program (we will guide you through this process).
You are medically and psychologically stable enough to participate in psilocybin-assisted therapy, as determined by clinical screening.
Applicants with co-occurring conditions such as PTSD, generalized anxiety disorder, or end-of-life anxiety may also be considered, but Treatment-Resistant Depression must be present for eligibility.
You may not be eligible if:
You have a personal or family history of psychosis or bipolar I disorder.
You have uncontrolled medical conditions (e.g., serious cardiovascular disease).
You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.
You have an active substance use disorder that would interfere with treatment.
You are unable to provide informed consent or commit to procedures.

Complete a secure questionnaire in our SAGE App.
Provide details about your medical history and previous therapies you’ve tried.
Our system will generate the SAP application for you, ready for clinician review.

Flow 2 – PDF Upload (Coming Soon)
Download a PDF template for your doctor or therapist to fill out.
Upload the completed PDF back into our SAGE App.
The system will auto-populate your application fields for you to quickly review and verify.
Both options are designed to save time, reduce errors, and ensure your application is complete before submission.
Our clinical team confirms readiness and safety to participate.
Participants will undergo psilocybin-assisted therapy in a safe, supportive environment.
Ongoing therapeutic follow-up helps you process and integrate your experience.

Due to a high volume of applications, processing times may vary. Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis, and a member of the Bluestem team will contact you once your place in the queue is reached. Final approval decisions are made by Health Canada, and Bluestem has no control over the outcome of the review process. However, we will work closely with you throughout the process to help you find the best possible outcome.
